framework for your coursework portfolio | My Assignment Tutor

BNV5125 Design Practice 2021 Portfolio template Important note Use of this template is optional, it is intended to offer a framework for your coursework portfolio to ensure some consistency with the submitted work. You should use 11 point Arial or Century Gothic font generally and may use bold, italic, underlined or larger font for section headings. The file format, arrangement of text and images on the pages should be considered carefully; it will improve overall presentation if there is consistency throughout the portfolio. Word count or word count equivalence is clarified on a per task basis. All work does need to be appropriately referenced and there is guidance available in the Resources section on the referencing system favoured by BCU, please read this, use it and seek help if you need it. Do start each new task on a new page.Do not use synonym word replacement ever. Your final editing session should include a check for spelling and grammar; it is often a good idea to get someone that you know and trust to proof read your late draft. If you do choose to use this template remember that the text and images present in the template should be deleted from your final submission as they add no value. Cover page. This should include your name, student ID and course. It is also good to include an appropriate image, this should be clear and not distorted; if using an image that was produced by someone else you must acknowledge the source. Example: Avoncroft Museum 2015, Gaytten, 2015 Contents page. This does not need to be too detailed, for this coursework there are two assessed elements comprising ten tasks in total and the following might be appropriate: Cover Contents Introduction (optional) i Element one Essay 1 Task one RIBA PoW 2 Task two Procurement 3 Task three Contract 4 Task four Professional and ethical practice and CDM 5 Element two Design Project 6 Project file 1 of 2 All students 7 Project file 2 of 2 Architectural Technology students 8 Project file 2 of 2 Building Surveying students 9 References Bibliography Appendices (as many as you need, A, B, C, etc. and are optional) Page numbering is useful and does need to be correct so maybe do this as one of the final editing processes. Note that I have used lower case Roman numerals for the Introduction and reserved decimal numerals for the main content but personal preference applies here. The sections following the latter do not need to be page numbered. Introduction. If you wish to include an introduction here be sure to keep it brief, half a page at most and it might be more appropriate to focus on the module learning outcomes rather than on the specific tasks that follow.
