For Australia to deal with its declining productivity, it is vital for the nation to replace the existing telecommunication network with the broadband system and ensure it increases the broadband speeds to the nation’s businesses and households.  Project Scope             The relevance of developing the National Broadband Network (NBN) is to enhance the speed and connectivity of the broadband network to the nation’s businesses and households. NBN Co falls under the auspices digital economy, communication, and broadband department. The department strives to develop world-class information and communication technology, which will help build Australians creativity and, at the same time, provide opportunities to enrich the social and economic wellbeing of the nation’s citizens. NBN investment in broadband network will comprise of the company utilizing fiber optic technology in most parts of the nation; fiber optic technology will be replacing the existing copper infrastructure. The company will deliver a minor download speed of 12 Mbps to 98% of Australian enterprises and families(Irigoyen, 2017). It will also have the network made operational progressive and rolled out, making it accessible within the next five years. NBN will ensure that the system does support high quality video, data, and voice services, which will be inclusive of symmetric applications like high definition videoconferencing. All the stakeholders shall have to work together for the project to be successful. There shall also be a team of subordinate employees who will be involved in the day to day operations of the project. Each stakeholder has a significant impact on the project. Employees are the major stakeholders of the project, for they are in charge of the assembling task. The risk management framework will communicate the responsibilities, approach, and objectives of how NBN will handle all forms of threats throughout the project(“Risk management”). Mismanagement of funds is an issue that can significantly affect NBN operations. The risk is internal and requires to be mitigated. To prevent mismanagement of funds, NBN should develop a framework that analyzes the completeness and accuracy of NBN financial reports. The frame should ensure that assets are safeguarded and that there is a proper accounting system. NBN can develop a Risk and Audit Committee that will improve and evaluate the effectiveness of asset and transaction management, governance, control, and risk management process.             The company might lack proper working personnel that might lead to low production activities. NBN might also be faced with a shortage of labor issues. To deal with this issue, the company should segregate responsibilities and roles effectively. Lack of proper technology might also be an issue for NBN. NBN should have efficient and useful information and operation technological systems for it to complete the broadband network project. By having proper internal work controls, the company will manage, evaluate, and identify vital risks concerning the company’s objectives. After which it will ensure that proper reporting channels, financial planning, and delegations are developed. The company might be faced with the risk of non-participation, where stakeholders fail to participate, and in the process, they would opt to withhold their funds. This issue will result in the delay of NBN Co activities. To mitigate the risk, NBN should have a diverse group of investors and stakeholders who will help the company grow in case some of the stakeholders fail to participate. Corruption and fraud activities are issues that might affect the NBN operation. To mitigate the risk, NBN should develop a Fraud and Corruption Control program, which will help the company deal with any cases of corruption. The program will detect, prevent, and respond to any form of bribery and fraud. Every employee should be aware that customers are the main focus of the project; they should ensure that customers receive proper services and that their needs are met. Employees are urged to take part in the critical decision-making process of the company(Dangreer, 2013). Integrity is a virtue that will be uploaded by every NBN employee; the employees will be urged to be honest and open with each other. It is proper for NBN employees to invest and support each other, and in the process, ensure that they increase or maintain their level of productivity. Lessons Learned             Communication is an essential element for a nation, its people, and the economy.
