Green Supply Management Practices in Manufacturing Industries a Global Perspectives Introduction In the globalization era, environmental affected production activities are mitigating over time while industrialist improving productions system around the world during the last decade (Bendul et al., 2017). The environment has great attention of many scholars, researchers, and policymakers to resolve the increasing environmental effects on living things. In the meantime, several businesses are now not only spent massive amount of money to increase the quantity of products but also spend money to improve the betterment of others live to follow the customer social responsibilities (Nyiba, 2018). Whereas, some of the organizations are becoming more dangerous for living things while producing most dangerous chemicals. The installment of several industries is important for the economic growth of a country but directly influences the environment in a negative way because these environmentally affected production activities also influence the climate change, pollution to air, water, health, and soil (Zheng et al., 2017). Nowadays, industrialization is the main source to degrade the current environmental issues in the whole globe (Wang et al., 2020). However, many domestic and global level institutions are active to take actions against these harmful industries which are becoming a hazard for both living things and the environment. Because of the restrictions by institutions many organizations are following the rules and regulations to take the step to minimize the adverse effect on the environment, this simply called green supply chain management (GSCM). So, green supply chain management is playing a vital role to stimulate the business activities on a broad range including interconnected supply chain flow from manufacturing to whole sellers, and green purchasing form customers to suppliers (Khan et al., 2018). In this broad concept, the aim of the current study is to evaluate the role of green supply chain management (GSCM) practices in manufacturing industries. Therefore, to investigate the influence of GSCM on manufacturing growth for both developing and developed regions. As well as, it also examines how GSCM stimulate manufacturing activities while reducing its harmful impact on living thing and environment. The second section of the current study is based on the objectives. The third part discusses the theoretical and empirical literature review on green supply chain management. The final part of the study consists of a methodological overview. Objectives of the Study To investigate the contribution of GSCM in manufacturing sector.To evaluate the influence of GSCM and global environment.To scrutinize the implementation of GSCM activities and its impact on modern industrialization. Literature ReviewIntroduction The current section is based on theoretical and empirical literature review on green supply chain management (GSCM). This section provides the brief overview of existing literature on green supply chain management, economic performance, environment, industrial sector. This section is finally introduced about the important determinants of green supply chain management and environmental challenges in the current era. Green Supply Chain Management and Organizational Performance Green supply chain management is a broad concept which covers both supply chain management and environmental protection globally (Khan et al., 2017). From the existing (Tseng et al., 2019) revealed that firms can not fully functions and operate without the help of other integrated firms because every firm need raw material and sell their products to earn revenue whether on domestic or international level. However, all the existing firms in supply chain management can work in collaboration to attain predetermined goals. According to the paper of (Xie et al., 2020) conceded that firms can improve their capacities to protect environment while adopting environmentally friendly systems. GSCM practices consist of protecting the internal environment management of an organization, green production, green selling, green purchasing, green logistics, green distribution, and green recycling (Tseng et al., 2019). In addition, developing and developed countries are facing several environmental problems including biological diversity, environmental pollution, depletion of valuable assets, global warming. Most of the industries are causes of these severe challenges on a global level to hurt the whole environment (Khan et al., 2017). Nonetheless, practices of traditional supply chain including waste of raw material, distribution, consumers, production are now becoming the reason for environmental pollution (Brennan et al., 2018). As from the previous studies (Xie et al., 2020) green supply chain management allows various industrial activities to protect the environment while using environmentally friendly assembling, design, logistics, supply, and packing from production to end consumers. In start the studies (Brennan et al., 2018) focused on the perspective of purchasing activities from the market. But, with the passage of time with more environmental challenges concept of GSCM become wider to discuss the whole dimension of production process from raw material to consumers to fully protect the environment (Xie et al., 2020). So, green supply chain management practices massively contribute in organizational activities. According to (Lee and Lim, 2020) investigated that in the presence of GSCM program for the purpose to achieve organizational goals on the basis of environment protect commitment in collaboration with multiple actors. Consumers purchase the manufacturing products for the purpose to used that product to fulfill their requirements (Vijayvargy et al., 2017). However, organizations are responsible to produce high quality products to satisfy their customers to gain minimum profit to attract more customers. In this regard, companies are able to cooperate with consumers to develop the products are improve the overall environment instead of destroying the existing environment (Lee and Lim, 2020). So, on the basis of discussed literature to construct hypothesis that GSCM contribute in overall performance of organization while protecting the environment. Research MethodologyIntroduction The aim of this section is to describe the propose methodology for the given topic. The section is based on research design, research instruments, data collection procedure, and steps of regression analysis. Methodology The current study adopts interpretivism research philosophy as starting tools because it is directly associated with subjective nature of social phenomenon (Ryan, 2018). The interpretivism research philosophy best suit and recommended for inductive researcher approach. Inductive approach depicts researcher’s aim to reach into generalize conclusion starting from a specific one (Khan and Syed, 2020). In the ongoing research, the researcher will use inductive research approach specifically focusing on qualitative studies. Because interpretivism based inductive research approach usually follows small sample, in-depth investigation, and qualitative paradigm. Therefore, author can say that reliance on interpretivism based inductive research approach and qualitative nature study, the systematic literature review will give brief and comprehensive outcomes towards specific constructs. Systematic literature highlights the collection of relevant research articles discussing the key topic area and research words, making generalization of research aims, and narrowing the research outcomes to match the ongoing study (Munn et al., 2018). For systematic literature review, the author follows PRISMA research framework (Appendix A). The inclusion criteria in the current study depicts that the researcher will consider only those materials and papers which are published after 2010 and are in English language.
