An example would be the decision to move the manufacture of a product to a new location. Radical change can be either commercial ( such as the example above) or structural, and it is very often accompanied by cultural changes. Radical change is more risky than gradual change, but the benefits as well as the problems can be much greater. Radical change is harder for people to accept and requires careful planning before it is implemented.  Crisis  Crisis is an inevitable cause of change, and that change is nearly always radical.  Crisis management is always urgent and is best managed by a single or small group who are able to respond rapidly  Examples could be the closing of a business unit or even relocation ( or elimination) of headquarter operations.  Organic change   All organisations move through a life cycle from newness to maturity as they grow. As they grow and mature, change is inevitable within the business as more people are employed. New skills are needed New systems and processes come into being  The change is referred to as organic as it is inevitable with growth It is often gradual but sometimes a period of radical change can take place as the business readjusts to its new needs.  Radical change can be reduced through careful planning and management of the change process.  Describes response to competitor’s as a driver of change?
