Through reflective reports that are due at the end of every iteration (1 through to 4), you will presentevidence of:• excellent engineering skills and• engineering professional practice skills.Engineering professional practice skills are encapsulated in the five key pillars below.• Social responsibility• Effective communication• Self-Management• Team membership and leadership; and• Project managementThese pillars underpin your employability skill development (the sixth professional practice pillar). Together these pillars representthe characteristics of a well-rounded professional engineer.Reflection requires serious thought or consideration. We recommend that you respond to following three key reflection questionsstructured according to Borton’s (1970) model to construct your reflective report:• What happened? – Begin by thinking about a challenging or an exciting experience that occurred – this will provide youthe context for the ‘what happened’ question.• So, what does this mean (to me, for others)? – Analyse the situation and unpack what it means to your learning and thatof others in your project team – use evidence to support your findings.• Now what do I need to do? – Summarise your plan for continual learning to enhance your employabilityFinally, take time to reflect on other experiences.To complete this task successfullyAnalyse and critique your learning during the process of finalising your team’s project implementation and evaluation plan forapproval. You must also present evidence that your technical engineeringwork has guided the direction of the project design and initiation activities.
