Students are required to choose a research business topic,identify a business issue and go to any online library to download any academicjournals (articles), dissertations etc. relating to the business topic selected toconduct study.Once the academic materials have been located, downloaded or pulled from ascholarly database, students must conduct a short literature review (6 Scholarswork on relating to the topic) and come up with one or two research questions.Students will begin working on the introduction, problem statement andresearch objectives of the study.Students will move to the “Scope of the Study” and decide on whether theirstudy will be a qualitative or quantitative study. Students will already decide atthis point whether to use interviews, observation or administered questions tocollect data. Students at this point should already know which “ResearchDesign” they will be using in their study.Based on the research topic chosen and the literatures located, students shouldfocus on identifying what Theoretical Framework they should use in theirstudy. The Literature Review is the critical component that will help with thetheoretical framework. Students are required to cite and reference a minimum of10 articles that will substantiate their study. All academic journals, dissertations,thesis etc. used in the study must be within the last 5 years.Students are required to choose a location to conduct the research andpopulation to gather data using a chosen data collection instrument. If a studentchooses to collect data during interviews, it is important the student read, followand understand the interview process. The textbook is a great source of guide inthis case.Students are encouraged to use the required textbook frequently, as well as thesupplementary material identified in the course. Students are given permissionto watch videos and use other outside materials that will help complete theassignment as required.Research ReportEach student is required to conduct a research and submit a paper at the endon the class for grading. The research paper format must follow or align withReport 3 (Example of An Abridged Basic Research Report – pages 373 to 376)in the Appendix (page 363) at the back of the required textbook. The researchpaper must follow APA format style and submit for grading.
